Lessons from the life of Chanel West Coast
Life is Easier with the Right People by your Side
“It’s hard being a woman in the hip-hop game, but I’m lucky to have good people around me who have had my back.” ~Chanel West Coast
Chanel still forged on regardless of how hard it seemed to go into rap/hip-hop as a woman. Through her actions, she has shown that one only ever fails in their dreams when they give up without even trying.
She also shows that while strength is commendable and independence is beautiful, having worthy people by your side certainly makes life easier.
Exude Your Strength
“You just gotta be yourself and don’t hold anything back just because you’re a woman.” ~Chanel West Coast
It is hard being a woman in any part of the world, and women usually must stoop to seem likable, docile, and pleasant. Chanel rejects this notion, imploring women to stand for everything they believe in regardless of what anyone seems to think.
There is No Harm in Being Multitalented
“I don’t just rap – I sing, and I dance as well.” ~Chanel West Coast
Chanel inspires people to chase their dreams, no matter how excessive and futile it may seem. Her refusal to settle for one career when she could do so much more is refreshing and inspiring.
